In 2021, designed, planned, and oversaw the creation of the new Memphis Campus library at St. George’s Independent School.

In April, 2018, served as the lead presenter at the Tennessee Library Association’s annual conference on the creation, development, and implementation of the Memphis Public Libraries’ DiscoverRead Early Literacy Centers.

​

Created and managed programs for underserved communities in Memphis with community partners such as Memphis Symphony Orchestra, Deaf Connect of the Mid-South, Latino Memphis, Hattiloo Theatre, and Literacy Mid-South, and in 2017-2018, developed a training seminar for Administration, Regional Managers, Agency Managers, and Youth Services staff in the Memphis Public Libraries to better reach and engage with Memphis area Hispanic and Latino communities.

2020 - Present

Elementary Librarian & Technology Integration Specialist,
St. George's Independent School

Elementary librarian for Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. Responsibilities include classes, book checkouts, collection development, school-wide programming for the annual Book Week celebration, and overseeing two book fairs annually. In the spring and summer of 2021, designed and oversaw the renovation and relocation of the campus library from a portable classroom to a central location inside the main school building. Technology teacher for Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth Grades, with classes including digital literacy and citizenship, online safety, utilizing Google Suites, with specific emphasis on Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and beginning coding and Robotics. Technology support and media specialist for all faculty, staff, and students.

2019 - 2020

Early Childhood Librarian,
Grade St. Luke's Episcopal School

Early childhood librarian responsible for library collection, classes, and literacy assessment for students from two years old through Second Grade, and support for Third through Eighth Grades. Other responsibilities included staff training in diversity, equity, and inclusion; weekend and evening programming for family and/or admissions events throughout the year.

2014 - 2018

Senior Agency Manager, Children's Division; Interim Child Services Coordinator,
Memphis Public Libraries

Oversaw all public service and administrative duties, including hiring, training, employee assessments, and all customer service needs, for the children's division of the Benjamin L. Hooks Public Library, main branch of the Memphis Public Libraries. Served as Interim Child Services Coordinator for all eighteen branches of the Memphis Public Libraries from 2014 - 2016, overseeing system-wide program development, community partnerships, professional development training and programming for child services librarians, and the development and implementation of early literacy centers in twelve of the eighteen branches of Memphis Public Libraries.
